Anthology is a casual, sophisticated and comfortable music venue in downtown San Diego. Great cocktails, great seating and all around a great experience. I certainly will be going back.

Let's See How Long This Lasts - Day 130 10:05 AM

After some reflection, I’ve decided to delete my account on Facebook. There is no one main reason for this decision; the idea has been rolling around in my head for a while now and I finally came to the realization that I just don’t need it. I have a great core group of friends and im close to my family. We CALL each other have "buddie-chats" and hangout frequently.

Here are a few reasons:

Reason 1) Constantly changing privacy and account settings are annoying. You have to continually re-read the changes and make sure your page is up to date. Let’s face it I’m not a computer person and never will be. That’s why they have a genius bar at the apple store and cute boys. I just don’t do computers!

Reason 2) Facebook used to only be available to people who had a valid university email address, nonetheless now, it is available to EVERYBODY.  Unfortunately this means mom and pops have made their way onto the internet and how can you not be friends with your mom and dad? Come on now, they raised you! Or your BOSS?? However, I am sure they don't want to see your photo album labeled "Getting Wasted in Vegas." There are some things that some people just don’t need to know.

Reason 3) Before Facebook I didn’t walk around handing out pages of my diary or read my friends for that matter. Recently my news feed has been filling up with a bunch of odd status updates and it’s turning into a guessing game- “I wonder who this post is about” I sometimes wonder if I was to just go ahead and TAG who I think they are referring to in the post, if I would cause more drama or help that person out. If they can’t tell the person to their face how they really feel then they sure as hell should NOT be telling the whole world! And don’t use song lyrics…please!!

Don’t get me wrong i will miss the positive aspects of Facebook, like photo sharing and stalking J But I think ill be ok.

First Exotic Novel - Day 129 4:22 PM

Yes i know...every girl and her mom has read this book but i see why...

I'm wordless! I was never one to considered reading a book on my free time, but if i would of know that there are books like '50 Shades of Grey' out there i might of been more interested!

This was my first suggestive novel. AND it was more than amazing-try 50 Shades of Amazing.

This book was as if TWILIGHT was filmed in a HUSTLER store! Its too embarrassing to write a book report on this style of writting but I commend you go get it and read it!! AND you should probably leave it on your night stand so your man can finger through it as well. I'm serious!! i have contemplated going into a sports bar or any other highly male populated public place and reading this darn' thing ALOUD so men would get a clue as to what turns us women on!

 Not sure why i enjoyed this paperback as much as i did, maybe cause it slightly reminds me of someone i know but, I can't stop wanting to doodle Christian Grey's name on my binder!!!

I NEED TO GET BOOK TWO ASAP!

First Pay Raise $$$ - Day 128 3:50 PM

Just received my FIRST pay raise at my so-called big girl job. Not sure how I feel about it yet…. NOT!!! Haha- its freaken’ awesome!!! Although, I was taken by surprise this morning when I strolled in to find I was going to have my Annual Performance Review!! and even more surprised to hear the words “Your Pay INCREASE will begin in July” ….whaaaat am I hearing him correctly??

I feel like I haven’t been on top of my game the past few months due to many different reasons inside and out of the office. I also wasn’t expecting this because I didn’t think stuff like this actually happens to me. Especially at a time when I need it most- if you have read ANY of my recent blog posts you would know that due to my lack of luck with SDPD, my bank account has been hurting. I couldn’t be in more need of a little extra cash!!

I liked the feed back i got from review, it was mostly positive hence the reason for the raise but also motivating!

Now the question is; who do I run and share my good news with? Who do I tell first? Guess that’s a whole different kind of Blog!

Delete Delete Delete - Day 127 3:13 PM

Hmmm… Not sure if this one necessarily falls in the category of a first or even blog worthy for that matter but I thought I’d give it a try.

We have all done it for some reason or another, taken that awkward picture of ourselves and then hit the SEND button. Followed by the; “IF U SHOW THIS 2 ANY1 I WILL KILL U!!! :)” text.

So I admit I have a “ME” folder on my phone-really hope pops is not reading this. It consists of pictures of me, myself and I- as it clearly states in the album title (I’m creative, I know). I have occasionally sent a few of these photos to admirers in the PAST. Keyword here: PAST. 

Only God knows why any decent girl would do something like this. I would need hours of therapy to truly understand why. I guess the quick answer would be because I like to please and entice the gentleman that I am dating or talking to at the time… Another keyword here: Gentleman- what kind of gentleman asks for pictures?? “WHAT R U WEARING?” “WISH I COULD SEE U RITE NOW” or my favorite text “PROVE IT” ugggghhh… seriously guys. From now on any guy that hints at me sending them a picture is going to get a BIG FAT ENGAGEMENT RING sent to their phone because I have deleted my ‘ME’ folder. And I’m not sending anything unless you are my hubby away on a business trip!

Call me a hopeless romantic but there is not much left these days to save for “the one”. There are like two virgins left in the world, everyone is or has lived with the person they are dating, or at least gotten a dog TOGETHER, and 90% of people have already been married. I want to be able to give more than just my left hand… J

El Take It Easy - Day 126 11:59 AM

El Take It Easy was amazing or at least the tacos I had on Tuesday night were. I think the best part about their Taco Tuesday Menu is that the one I had will never be repeated. The kitchen only makes them once and next week it will be a different taco menu. I’m assuming the tacos are the leftovers from the week so no food goes to waste and it's always fresh…or the crazy outcome of when the chef gets a hair up his @$$! I would have never put shrimp, scallops, mushrooms, plumbs and apricots in a street taco topped with the world’s best guacamole!-either way it’s a neat yet delicious idea.

Along with the fancy Tacos at El Take it Easy, they have the most AMAZING taquitos on the appetizer menu. I literally have not stopped ranting and raging and telling EVERYONE I know to go get them right away. The crazy part about is that they were Vegetarian…WHAT?? Seriously, me? dreaming about a vegetarian dish?? I must be ill or on drugs!!

Paddle Boarding - Day 125 10:22 AM

Paddle Boarding was an interesting form of exercise. Because of the full body and core workout this activity provides you it’s supposedly to be like Yoga on the water. AND I wouldn’t disagree, this was definitely a workout. I immediately could feel it all over and I’m sure the next couple of days I will continue to feel it.

Not surprisingly, I was the one out of the group of ladies I went with who fell in. Graceful is not my middle name! Along with face planting in the nasty water of the bay I also watched my ore sink, leaving me with nothing but my two strooooong arms to get me back to the dock. I’m just glad the seals weren’t in the mood for a snack at the time of my fall! This blog entre would have ended completely different.

Next time I would like to do this in clear water... possibly Fiji or something that is if I had my choice J
