Emergency Exit - Day 76
12:06 PM

My first time sitting in the emergency exit on the plane: Not that I have ever been opposed to it, just never happened to pick those seats when booking a flight. Although it comes with a little more responsibilities you get rewarded with extra leg room, never a bad thing. I do feel like the Virgin America front desk employee was sorting us on the plane though because, the whole row on both sides was young blonde girls with blue eyes…hmmm?!?! J

First GAY Bar - Day 75
12:06 PM

Somewhere in San Francisco, while waiting for my flight, I found myself ordering a drink in what I thought was a regular random bar downtown. It didn’t take me long to realize that it was full of men and none of them wanted anything to do with me. And their outfits were A LOT tighter than mine…literally! Here I am judging them when the whole time I’m the one outta place. I wonder if they thought I swung the other way?! I didn’t stay long enough to find out!

Cable Car - Day 72
12:03 PM

I rode and hung off the side my first cable car up the hills of San Francisco. If i was to move there i would ride these things just to meet people. People of all ages jump on and off the cars but in the mean time if you start up a conversation you make what i call "short-while" friends. Never know, Mr. Right could be at the top of the next hill!

Pinnacles National Monument - Day 71
12:02 PM

Pinnacles National Monument is the eroded leftovers of half of an extinct valcano. Located east of central California's Salina’s Valley.
The Monument is divided by the rock formations into East and West Divisions, connected by foot trails; there is no through road that connects the east and west entrances to the park. The east side has shade and water, the west has high walls. The rock formations attract advanced rock climbers due to the many difficult and challenging climbs.
Basically it’s a bunch of really cool caves with stairs built throughout allowing you to walk all around inside. Kind of chilly and extremely steep hikes, my calves were definitely sore the next day, although it could have been the fact that I did the hikes in my converse!
I want to go back and climb more!

Left Town Without Telling Anyone - Day 70
12:01 PM

Random trip to San Fran. I left super early Saturday morning and came home late Sunday night. But in the mean time i upset most of my friends and sister, because nobody knew where i had gone.

A good majority of the NEW things i want to do this year are not just in San Diego, so when given the chance I'm going to take it!

I guess next time i will leave a note on the fridge!....(don't worry I truly missed all my buddies)

Played Hookie For A Buddy Day - Day 67
11:59 AM

As we’re getting older my friends and I’s schedules are changing and we are becoming busier, leaving it harder to find time to see each other. So sometimes you just have to bend a little here and there to make the time to be with the ones you really care about; one takes the day off,  I’ll leave early, she calls in a little late and we have a buddy ditch day.
A hike in the sun with my girls actually made me feel really productive for the week, it was a good balance. Blessed to have them.

Cracked Ribs - Day 66
11:57 AM

Let’s just say X-rays are not cheap and health insurance came in handy this year-thank goodness!!!
Cracked ribs are not a fun one to have, mainly because there isn’t really anything you can do to speed up the healing process. And they take a long time to heal. But the worst part about this whole situation is not the pain itself but the fact that I don’t know how I cracked them. I remember feeling a sharp stabbing pain right around Christmas and then having issues after that but I didn’t think much of it or look into it until about a few weeks later when even laughing started to hurt. The doctor asked me if I have had bronchitis or really rough intercourse… unfortunately the answer was No do both. So it’s left a mystery of how I cracked two of my ribs on my right side. My most random new thing this year

Say No To Laundry - Day 65
11:56 AM

I have no idea where this idea ‘not to do laundry until I had nothing left to wear’ came from, probably because it’s my least favorite chore or simply the fact that I’m lazy. But none the less I went about 3months without doing laundry. And just to clarify that doesn’t mean I wore dirty clothes I just had enough clothes to last me that long. I had to start being really creative with my outfits and I realized that there is some stuff that I’m just not EVER going to wear even when push comes to shove. So now I have a box to go to the goodwill. I think it ended up being a pretty good experiment, except I didn’t think it all the way through cause now I have a huge pile of laundry in the middle of my room and it’s not going to do itself…. DAMMIT!!

Red Pearl - Day 64
11:55 AM

Red Pearl- another restaurant in Downtown San Diego. We ordered the some kind of appetizer- bacon wrapped dates with blu cheese- Sounds odd, I know, but it was actually pretty good. Especially because I was able to wash it down with a tasty Mule, which I recommended ordering EVERYTIME. Besides the big red chair in the front of the restaurant, the appetizer we ordered and the mule is what they are known for.

The other really nice thing about this place is that if you are in need of toilet paper for your house this is the place to come. They leave a large stash in the corner of the restrooms for the taking J I would never think of “stealing” especially toilet paper but it makes it really hard when you are a female at a friend’s house who’s FREQUENTLY outta toilet paper. I was just trying to help out a buddy.

Pinterest Addiction - Day 63
11:55 AM

Must PIN this and must PIN that… MUST PIN EVERYTHING!
But in all honesty I truly think I have a problem. I am so addicted to this new Pinterest website. For those of you that have not been ‘invited’ to join Pinterest, you are missing out. I’m more addicted to this then I ever was to FaceBook.
This is a website where people post pictures of their arts and crafts, their pretty hair, their cute kids, their adorable pets, the places they see and travel to, and pictures of the way they decorate their homes. After looking at all of it you are able to click on the picture and REPIN it to one of your created boards. For example people have “My dream home board” and while looking on Pinterest they might find something they want to do in their home and will REPIN it to that board with hopes of remembering it for later when they buy a house. With my addiction issue I don’t have just one board…I have tons.
Other Pinterest Symptoms:
I not only crave delicious food all day, but I want to bake for everybody but then quickly go on a diet and be strong and independent like all the girl quotes. I also immediately want a slide next to my stairs, I want to get engaged or start planning NOW!! And I’m about ready to steal somebody’s kids so I can take family photos of them in cute unique ways like they do on Pinterest… and do arts and crafts allllll day. Yep that pretty much sums up my thoughts on Pinterest… ITS AMAZING!

Ooooh… and I all of a sudden need a pet!

Ra Sushi Downtown San Diego - Day 62
11:52 AM

I could eat Sushi every day, even more so now because my taste buds have been changing, I don’t seem to crave the same crap as I use to. So, I’m always ready to try out a new place. Ra Sushi downtown was pretty decent, not amazing but not horrible. I feel like it’s more about the environment there- kinda club-ish yet a little date-ish, and I’m not gonna lie, the male wait staff was actually pretty nice to look at. Another positive about Ra Sushi is with every FOURSQUARE check-in you get free edamame. Last but not lease the best thing about this place is that they have Hendricks Gin and you can never go wrong with that!

Torrey Pines Hike And Mini Museum - Day 59
3:11 PM

Another beautiful day in December. The family and i went down to Torrey Pines for more of a walk than a hike along the coast. I think everyone and their mother had the same idea because the place was packed but it was still fun to get out and do it. There will come a time when walking down that hill will not be possible. Gotta enjoy it while you can!

These pictures don't do this experience justice. That little guy was quick! He took off before i could barely get on. The only reason i am still laughing about this memory is because i didn't land in the pile of horse poop when i feel off!

Ecuadorian Cuisine - Day 55
3:08 PM

This was an interesting night. I seriously felt like 4 of my 5 senses turned off all at once. To be honest i have no idea what i ate, i vaguely remember the meal looking like this picture and, normally you can smell Spanish food being cooked a mile away but, yet nothing. i also know for a fact my taste buds were not present cause i remember dousing my Pupusa in hot sauce cause i thought it tasted blah and or plain. I also believe my sense of direction was 100% off... i couldn't tell you where the restaurant was if i tried, and the worst part is i drove!!! The only thing i do remember working very well that evening was my heart, yeah that's not one of the 5 sense but my hearing is-That night I could hear words clearing than i have ever heard, and my heart beat was loud and clear too. For a second i thought that my heart was in my head or throat. i couldn't hear anything else but my heart racing. And i wish i could blame it on the excitement of the day or at least the hot sauce but, it was neither.
I guess i learned two things one; that I'm still alive and my heart is working just as its suppose to and two; that all these 'firsts' might not be full of smiles and giggles! Looks like this first was not the food but rather the day itself.

Homemade Cheesecake - Day 54
10:37 AM

Homemade Cheesecake was pretty simple. Usually people only want one bite because the stuff is so rich so instead of making the whole cake i made the cheesecake and used it as filling for hollowed out strawberries. Pretty delicious if you asked me.  New years Eve finger foods.

BLT - Day 53
10:35 AM

Never ever have i ordered a BLT and Never ever will i do it again. Lettuce has no taste, tomatoes are gross, bacon is basically salted pig fat and this thing had enough mayo for 3 sandwiches. There is a reason i have never tried one and i should of kept to it!
